Supplemental Insurance is insurance that generally pays you, the insured, direct cash benefits over and above what your health insurance pays to the doctors and medical facilities.  These include Critical Illness, Cancer, Accident and Disability plans.

Supplmental Benefits Written for Individuals & Families

Today, you have a good chance of surviving a Critical Illness - Physically, but would you survive it Financially?

Even with a good major medical plan covering most of your medical costs - if you suffered from a heart attack, stroke, cancer or other critical illness there are other financial costs then just medical.  Such as:

Loss of income from time off from work
Travel costs if you need services of a facility out of state or out of your area
You don't get through a major health issue on your own.  Your family will be there to support you.  But, that often means your spouse will be missing work/income as well.
And, if you do need to go out of the area for treatment, a family member of companion will usually come, meaning more income loss,  travel expenses, lodging.
Depending on your plan, there are some costs most medical insurance don't pay or only pay a certain amount, such as home recovery, outpatient service, some treatments.

Then there are the health insurance deductibles, co-insurance.

If you suffer a covered health issue, would you rather be sent a get well card, or a check for, say, $50,000 ?

LifeStyle Protector   from Colorado Banker's Life  will pay you, directly (over what your health insurance pays for medical costs), 100% of the amount of coverage you buy for the following critical illnesses

Invasive Cancer - Heart Attack - Stroke - End-Stage Renal Failure - Major Organ Transplant - Terminal Illness - Advanced Alzheimer’s Disease - Loss of Independent Living - Loss of Limbs - Major Burns - Paralysis

25% of coverage for:
Coronary Bypass Surgery - Heart Valve -Replacement/Repair Surgery - Aortic Surgery

10% of coverage for:
 Angioplasty

Death from any cause is a 100% benefit. (Except suicide during the first two years.)

This is the most comprehensive (in terms of types of critical illnesses covered) Critical Illness policy I, as an insurance agent, has ever seen.  It is a combination of Critical Illness and Term Life insurance.  And, I highly recommend this policy as a supplement to any health insurance policy.

Group Supplemental Benefits
For Businesses Large & Small

New Mexico Life and Health via Colonial Life offers group supplemental benefits for businesses both large and small.

Colonial Life is the pioneer in supplemental group benefits.

Colonial Life is a national leader in helping businesses control and reduce the costs of health care for their employees.

We help the employer reduce their costs of providing supplemental health care benefits, and we reduce the employer's (and HR department's) time and work by performing the benefit enrollments for the company and by offering payroll deduction services as part of our overall service - at no charge to the employer.

If your company currently offers a major medical plan, we do not replace this, rather we work with you, your HR department and the other insurance company and make the process more simple and profitable for everyone involved. We provide additional supplemental benefits to your employees that fills the gaps and provides needed and sought after benefits.

We do this not only at no cost to the employer, but in nearly all cases we can save the employer money by offering additional related services at no cost to the employer, such as payroll services (deducting the health and life insurances from payroll).

We also educate each employee as to all the health care benefits your company provides.

In this way we help you attract and retain qualified employees while saving you, and often saving your employees money as well.

The additional supplemental benefits we offer for groups are:

Short Term Disability (if you do not already have STD)  Even companies that offer Long Term Disability, an employee can be financially devastated if they incur an injury or illness that keeps them from work for 1 to 6 months.  LTD does not start paying until typically 6 months.  If someone is off work for, say 4 months, they will have no income during that period, yet mortgage or rent payments, car payments, insurance payments, food, etc., all need to be paid each month.  I know one person who had an illness and was off work for 5 months. He lost his ranch, about 15 acres along with his home that was nearly half paid for.  His truck was repossessed and even worse, his wife wound up divorcing him.  By the time he was able to return to work, his whole life was ruined. If only he had a Short Term Disability policy in place...  [What makes this story even sadder?   The company where he worked was approached and offered Colonial Life's supplemental benefits, and the owner of the company took the hard line that his employees don't want any additional benefits. That employer made that decision for over 100 other people.  He did not give that man even the chance to get the type of insurance that would have saved his home, truck and marriage. ]

Accident policy that pays the insured directly a set specified amount per type of injury, including hospital and emergency room costs. This money is paid directly to the insured and is over and above what their current medical insurance pays.  Often this insurance can be used to pay toward deductible and/or co-insurance costs one's current health insurance does not pay

Cancer Policy - this pays the insured directly also. Over and above what ever other medical insurance one has.   Just on initial diagnosis of an internal cancer the policy pays up to $5,000.  It also pays for transportation, lodging of the insured and one companion, it pays per day for hospital, and therapy and many other procedures connected with cancer treatment.

Critical Illness.  This policy again pays the insured direct, over and above any other medical insurance they have.  It pays up to 50,000 for Heart Attack, Stroke, Major Organ Failure and Kidney Failure.

And, we offer Life insurance to the employees.

The Group Benefits services are custom tailored to each company to fit their particular needs and situations.  For this reason we cannot offer much more on the internet itself but require to meet directly with your company's decision maker.  We start with a 15-20 min fact-finding analysis meeting.  Then we get back to you with our proposal and go from there.

So, please call or email to get the process started.  There is no charge or obligation at any stage, so there is no loss in requesting the fact-finding analysis meeting.  Nothing to lose, but a whole lot to gain.

If we cannot save your company money and help provide additional valuable and needed benefits to your employees, then we will not do business together, it is that simple.
